Now LED solar street lights are used by more and more people, but the street lights are suddenly broken. How should it be repaired? Yaorong Technology will tell you several detection methods:

1. Detection of LED solar street light panels: If the solar panels are not firmly connected, the solar LED street lights cannot be charged normally, which is usually characterized by voltage but no current. This phenomenon is that the wires of the battery board are not connected correctly. After opening the black electrical cover behind the battery board, the voltage and ammeter can directly detect the data. If no current is directly detected on the aluminum foil of the panel, it indicates a problem with the panel and needs to be replaced.

2. Battery detection: Under normal circumstances, the charging and discharging of the battery is normal. If the voltage is higher than 12V during detection, the voltage drops within a short time after the load is connected, indicating that the battery is damaged; in addition, when the water enters the waterproof case, the battery may cause voltage instability due to the short circuit of the positive and negative electrodes. Usually, when the voltage is high, it is high and low. Due to water ingress, the over-discharge voltage of the battery drops below 10V. At this time, the battery can be used normally after being charged and discharged in a normal small current cycle. If it cannot be used normally, it needs to be replaced. After three years, lead-acid batteries will cause solar LED street lights to turn off prematurely, or less rainy days due to reduced capacity. this is normal phenomenon.

3. LED light source detection: when the battery voltage is normal, the light source can work normally. For example, if the solar LED street light is off, the positive and negative electrodes of the light source can be directly connected to the positive and negative electrodes of the battery for detection. If the light source can light up, it means the light source is good and the controller is not powering the light. So we have to wait until the battery is fully charged again. It only works properly when the voltage is raised. If the light is directly connected to the battery, and the light does not light, it indicates that there is a problem with the light source, and you need to contact the manufacturer for replacement in time.

4. For the LED solar street light controller: the red light on the controller means charging, the flashing red light means the battery is full, and the controller is charging with a small current pulse. The yellow light of the controller indicates that the battery is powered off and cannot be lit properly. If the battery is disconnected and reconnected, the light will turn on again. At this point, the controller detects an increase in battery capacity after a day of charging, rather than an increase in the battery's float voltage.
