Visible light is the raw material for green plants to produce organic materials through photosynthesis. In traditional agricultural production, ordinary electric light source is generally used to supplement illumination and different covering materials are applied, such as monochrome fluorescent lamp or colored plastic film, to change the light environment to regulate the growth and development of plants in the environment of facility cultivation. Different from these measures, LED plant growth lamp has been adopted to avoid the problems of different degrees, such as the lack of analysis of specific spectral components, resulting in impure light quality treatment, inconsistent light intensity, close to or even lower than the plant’s light compensation point, low energy efficiency of the light source. A large number of studies on the application of LED in plant facility cultivation show that LED can solve these problems and is especially suitable for artificial light control plant facility cultivation environment.
Red light can promote the rooting, chlorophyll formation, carbohydrate accumulation, absorption and utilization of plant stem. In the process of rapid propagation, the application of red led grow light to supplement light has obvious effect on promoting the rapid rooting of various plants and improving the quality of seedlings.
